Hi! My name is Renata and I'm a third year Economics major with minors in Sociology and Leadership here at San Diego State. My hometown has two Rotary Clubs, two Rotaract Clubs, and one Interact Club that are incredibly active in the community. Because of that, I've seen Rotary in action since I was a kid and I can say that it's the most driven, ethical, and impactful organization I know of. I'm a co-founder of the Penapolis Interact Club in Brazil (District 4470), was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Carmel, IN (District 6560) for one year during high school, and am know a member of SDSU Rotaract and the Director of Finance for the 5340 Rotaract District. My on-campus and off-campus involvements include SDSU Model United Nations, SDSU BRASA (Brazilian Student Association) and the Corporate Relations team for Global BRASA. I hope to eventually go back to Brazil and bring with me all that I have learned so that I can help my country change for better. The Rotary International 2017-2018 theme is "Making a Difference" and I love to make that happen both as an individual and with my friends at SDSU Rotaract.
