Every year SDSU Rotaract chooses two beneficiaries, one local and one international non-profit organization, to support with our "fines," a fun way to fundraise by recognizing our members' achievements.
The Micro-Loan Foundation provides loans and on-going business training to women that are stuck living in a cycle of poverty and often live in remote rural areas. The training they provide ensure that the women are equipped to manage their finances and create sustainable enterprises that will help them generate an income and provide for their families. Over time the money they earn helps to provide food security, better housing, access to healthcare, and an education for their children.
